In Short
Housed in a former Gold Rush general store, this tourist-friendly eatery has held onto its past with a restored 1870s bar, Victorian-era stained-glass windows and Tiffany-style lamps. Richly upholstered antique furniture and original brick walls enhance the historic ambience, while large windows provide views of the nearby riverfront. The menu is basic but substantial, offering such dishes as wild-mushroom ravioli, old-fashioned meat loaf and New York pepper steak.
