The Scene
During the lunch hour, executives bring their tough-sell clients to this masculine, dark-wood-laden bar and grill to woo them, but at night the working crowd lines the bar while couples fill the tables along the window. The service is excellent. The experienced staff knows the food and wine menu like the backs of their hands.
The Food
It's as if the chefs intuitively know what types of food Sacramentans crave. The appetizer portion of the menu is extensive and includes a variety of tastes from quesadillas and calamari to fish & chips and steamed clams. A large selection of pizza and pasta shares the menu with flavorful grilled meat dishes.
What to Order
The potato and portabello mushroom soup, creamy and rich, is a well-known favorite. The salmon, nestled on a bed of greens and smothered in a corn salsa, is cooked to perfection and is served with crunchy, salty sweet potato chips.
