In Short
This SoCal mini-chain uses blond-wood tables, cheery primary-colored details and piped-in hits from Sinatra to Armstrong to bring new meaning to the phrase ''happy meal.'' Families and low-key diners are endlessly plied with herb-encrusted focaccia and olive oil. Wood-fired pizzas are topped with California-style ingredients (bean sprouts, Asiago cheese). Other Americanized Italian fare includes lunchtime favorites like finely chopped salads and dinner entrees such as grilled salmon with artichoke relish and a slate of seasonal pasta dishes.
