In Short
Tight quarters and plain decor accommodate mostly takeout orders, but there are a few counter seats and outdoor tables. Chefs steer clear of lard and MSG in their farmers' market-fresh fare. The house specialty is free-range roasted chicken wihth a choice of coconut, citrus or Indian-spiced marinade. Dover sole is prepared with cilantro and coconut, and pork spare ribs are slathered with homemade barbecue sauce. Daily side dishes include mashed sweet potatoes, cheesy polenta and mixed field greens.
