In Short
This is likely the most rocking diner spot in Hollywood since Beck was seen eating fried chicken at Fred 62 back in the ''Odelay'' era. Saturday mornings find laconic punk tunes washing over grungy tattooed rockers nursing hangovers at the DIY bloody mary bar; weekend brunch is a crush with a farmer's market crowd vying for Challah-Lujah French toast and garden benedicts. Designed by Kris Keith (Goa, Ortolan), the retro-luxe diner has arty-design touches like welded silverware lamps, chrome fixtures and a snazzy terrazzo horseshoe bar. Late night becomes a scene unto itself as club kids eat burgers and meat loaf to the beat of live DJs in the space that was once the '60s jazz club Shelly's Manne-Hole.
