In Short
This casual yet urbane eatery forgoes down-home Southern kitsch for tasteful simplicity. A few quirky wall hangings add a splash of brightness to the otherwise plain decor, while tables draped in crisp white butcher's paper extend out onto a shady patio. An attentive waitstaff serve from a menu that ranges far beyond crepes: Unlike those of the Parisian variety, these are lighter, crispier and surprisingly filling. Standouts include the chicken, mozzarella and veggie-filled Evangeline; the Jambalaya-inspired The Quarter with andouille sausage, shrimp and chicken; and the Lafayette, loaded with ham, mushrooms and cheese, and topped with the restaurant's signature sherry cream sauce. Also on the menu are a handful of omelets, salads, smothered sweet-potato fries, pulled-pork sandwiches and a mouth-watering selection of dessert crepes, all encouraged a la mode.
