Atop the third floor of the Weller Court Japanese mall, an intimate wood-paneled room emits a noir-ish '70s Tokyo vibe. The cozy bar, wooden booths and tables are host to locals and downtown artists who buy their own shabu shabu creations or share elegant kushi katsu (deep-fried meat, seafood or veggies on skewers.)
