In Short
With vibrant silk hanging lamps, swashes of orange and magenta, and a small pond strewn with floating candles, Tantra brings Bollywood glamour to the Eastside. After dinner, slip into the lounge's low-slung banquettes and soak in the DJ's eclectic soundtrack. The menu veers all over the Indian subcontinent, from southern curries to northern tandoori. The signature appetizer platter melds flavors: Sweet-and-sour potato salad tempers spicy green chicken tikka, and salmon contrasts with crunchy tofu and spinach samosa. Entrees include the likes of Kashmiri lamb curry and shrimp coconut curry, but portions are small, so round out the meal with vegetables.
