The Pink Palace's historic dining room is lush with dark green and cream-striped walls, massive leather booths and a theatrical patio where diners eat among flowering vines, shocking-pink archways and a gorgeous knotted oak tree. Large, round tables of power brokers, lunching socialites and moneyed international playboys are the real view. With a place so full of glitz and glamour, the extravagantly priced Cal-Asian cuisine seems secondary. Seared ahi tuna and T-bone steak are part of the classic American menu, while the famed brunch is a favorite with standards like French toast paired with sour cranberries and crispy pecans.
