In Short
Named after the Hindu sun god, this warm, welcoming space features a gorgeous dining room. Saffron-colored walls glow with richly colored photos of Indian scenes. The crisp tablecloths, hardwood floor, subdued lighting and jazz soundtrack provide the backdrop for conversation. Owner Sheel Joshi comes from a mixed Indian and Italian family, and his recipes combine both culinary traditions. Seared tuna tandoori is a unique spin on a California favorite, and saag paneer comes studded with farmer's cheese.
