Sona chef/owner David Myers has hit another home run with this casually upscale Melrose brasserie.The smart black-and-white main dining room is usually jammed with industry types and bon vivants that raise evening chatter to a shout-across-the-table din. Meanwhile, those who didn't bother making reservations mob the raw bar. The classic French fare suits the demanding professionals that it draws. Standbys like escargot persillade--Burgundy snails in a satiny paste of butter, garlic and parsley--are part of the menu's starters. The high-minded theme continues with roasted beef marrow accompanied by savory oxtail jam, while things come down to earth with items like bouillabaisse. Daily specials should not be missed, and the cheese bar is a worthwhile indulgence.
