The Scene
Tucked in the westernmost corner of the architecturally stunning Argyle Hotel, this joint possesses the same art-deco glamour and panache that has made the landmark hotel a classic. A sweeping curved bar commands a raised lounge area that's scattered with sleek tables and cushy club chairs. Decorative appointments of yesteryear are punctuated with black-and-white photos of old school Hollywood heavies. But the real scene is on the pool deck, where lounge chairs and white aluminum palm trees frame a knockout view of the L.A. basin and a sparkling starscape.
The Draw
The super-sceney Sunset strip can run hot and cold, but this swank spot is consistently glamorous and unpretentious. Strong drinks, a pretty crowd and available seating, make this vista deck and sitting room a refreshingly refined place settle in.
