The Scene
After some much-needed updating, the lush red dining room and adjoining bar of this 90210 mainstay now provides an elegant yet comfortable space for its Rodeo Drive clientele. Lest anyone forget who's in charge here, an enormous photograph of chef-owner Massimo Ormani looms over patrons from above, as if he's looking down into a pot on the stove.

The Food:
Ormani combines Firenze sophistication with a heartier Tuscan palate, creating dishes that stand out with their simplicity and robust flavor. To start, a salad of thinly sliced baby artichokes sings with a light touch of olive oil and lemon juice, and fresh slices of sumptuous burrata cheese are served with vine-ripened tomatoes and pungent basil. Standout entrees include homemade pappardelle pasta smothered in rich, wild boar ragu, and grilled rock sole filet served with green lentils, fresh tomatoes and arugula.
