The Scene
Between the pressed-tin ceiling, the moose head and the massive mahogany bar, you may start to feel like this subterranean bar is actually a vortex to 1930s Chicago. Film producers are hip to the place's otherworldly charm and featured it in the X-Files feature film ''Fight the Future.'' Speaking of conspiracies, Casey's offers discreet, high-backed wooden booths to discuss those theories. The backroom offers even more privacy with booths that can be cordoned off with heavy velvet curtains.

The Draw
Brash young businesswomen, savvy pool sharks and seasoned downtown lawyers flock downstairs for a post-work shot of whiskey.
