After building a reputation for more than 20 years in Manhattan's Upper East Side, Chef Charlie Palmer has finally headed west. And what better place to settle than at Bloomingdale's inside the South Coast Plaza, SoCal's unsurpassed temple to the luxe life? Serving lunch and dinner daily, the menu maintains its classical French leanings with robust American cuisine. Dinner entrees range from crisp black sea bass to red wine poached beef tenderloin, while side dishes like truffle potato gnocchi and braised hen-of-the-woods mushrooms keep it exciting. There is also a sliders lunch menu that puts an unexpected twist on the mini-burger staple--think chicken fried chicken with cheddar country gravy, crab cake with fennel relish, PBLT (pork belly, lettuce and tomato) and Kobe beef.
