The Scene
On a bustling corner bordering the House of Blues, this all-in-one cocina, cantina and taqueria proves Downtown Disney is growing up in style. A classic Mexican restaurant dressed up in string lighting and primary colors, the party-all-the-time atmosphere draws lines of parents taking siestas from the rides. The servers may still be getting up to speed, but it would be hard to find a better place to take a breather from the Magic Kingdom than this lively, yet laid-back spot.
The Food
Stand-out appetizers include puffy and tasty mushroom empanadas and made-to-order guacamole served in stone bowls with warm tortilla chips. Unique combination plates pair crisp masa ''boats'' (or sopes) with burritos and tamales in salsa verde. Meltingly soft sea bass bursts with flavor and is served with with Peruvian potatoes. Non-meat eaters can enjoy fresh vegetable fajitas with tortillas. Multiple-spoon desserts like chocolate-banana bread pudding with cashew ice cream shouldn't be missed.
